Island Love...

I spend approximately 1 week a month spending time with my sisters and nieces and nephew onVancouver Island.  I do this because Anabella, aside from having a Nana, Papa, two plus Aunts and many extended family/friends who adore her and spend quality one on one time with her, she has  3, 5, 8 and 16 year old cousins who are her best friends and who spoil her and adore her EQUALLY as much as she adores them.  The moment they wake up, they are off and running and they don't stop until the minute they close their eyes and pass out from exhaustion at the end of the night. The bond they have already built at such a young age will last them beyond a lifetime and THAT to me is priceless and worth every second of going off of any schedule or routine we have at home.

Note to self: There is nothing cuter than three little girls with their eyes barely open, wearing their pj's, gumboots or "WELLIES" as my daughter calls them, tutu's, princess crowns and PURSES laughing hysterically and screaming while having bike races across the deck...GOOD MORNING TO YOU TOO!

When we are away from the island for longer than a week, Anabella begs to see her cousins and her Aunties every day, she even tries to pack her own bag for the ferry.  The reason I chose to stay in BC and raise my family here, is so that my children could be raised with cousins and Aunts and Uncles and grandparents who love them as much as I do, all living very close by.  I know that even if I never have another baby or child in my lifetime, Anabella is blessed with the most amazing bond with her cousins on the island and will never feel alone in her life.  THAT is worth every minute of stepping out of my life in Vancouver to spend time on the island with my family and friends there.

A few pictures of SOME of mine and Bella's favorite island people....and the reason we will NEVER stop going to the island.
