As we sit on the back deck of our beautiful family home in Port Moody, BC with the sun beaming down on our faces, me in a chair with my good ol' chik lit book and Bella on "cloud 9" at her picnic table with every color of play dough proudly displayed in front of her, she turns to me smiling ear to ear and asks, "Mama, where's your play dough?" to which I reply, "I don't have any play dough, I'm a grown up. Grown ups don't have play dough, only kids do."
She smiles, turns away and says, "Ooooh yes Mama....you a Mama, I a kid and Daddy is a Rick."
I burst out laughing on the spot and thanked my lucky stars for the small blessings and moments I have every single day. From the mouth of babes, come the funniest of observations.
