Back and forth...

Well, after an unexpected, but much valued growth experience and temporary leave of absence from the blogesphere I am happy to be back today...right now...to post my first blog in what feels like an eternity.  I've been wanting to do this for months upon months with each and every new and exciting and imperfectly adorable thing Anabella does, but somehow this infinite thing we have called "time" just seems to slip away on me.  My goal with today's post is to "get back on the horse" and I knew  if I didn't do it now, time would have just indefinitily gotten away on me forever.

I'm back...is it weird that I secretly just heard the roar of applause in my own head? That may be an entirely diferent topic to address.  Anyways....

I AM NOW THE PROUD MAMA of a wonderful, outgoing, intelligent, spirited, loving, compassionate, kind, loyal, special, creative, stubborn, opinionated,  music loving, singing, dancing, water loving, spelling, reading, printing, texting, wanted FIVE YEAR OLD little girl.  Who by the way, has recently informed me with her cheeky little wit and sassy hand on her hip that she will no longer be called any of the following:
  • Bella-bean
  • Bella-boo
  • Beaner
  • Lovie
  • Babe
Which of course is in addition to never, and I mean NEVER calling her "Ana".  Try it....try any of the above, I dare you. Along with this list of unacceptable names came a list of acceptable names for both the present and the future:
  • Anabella - Acceptable any time, any day, anywhere forever.
  • Bella - Acceptable today, at school, and until she finishes school.
  • Ana - This is her official "teachers" name for when she starts her job as a teacher after University.
  • Madeline - There was slight discussion of her considering changing her name up until she received her American Girl doll who was instead bestowed with that name instead.
Our life in the last year in short: Blessings, happiness, love, faith, commitment, hard work, changes, fun, excitement, illness, determination, integrity, morals, values, communication, balance.

In the words of the smartest little girl I know..."Peace out".
